A young psychiatrist assistant fights to change for the better the terrible fate of the patients hosted in the worst ward of a Sicilian psychiatric hospital. At the same time, however, he is forced to face and solve the mystery that surrounds one of his strange and inscrutable patients: who has a name different from his real one; who is hospitalized for a non-existent disease; who does not want to be discharged but who is also involved in defamatory accusations. A human and social story where the author’s autobiographical elements blend with the mystery, cruelty, suffering, friendship, love and redemption of his numerous and unforgettable characters.
